A wide range of services both private and public could be obtained in Batibo. Batibo is the subdivisional headquarters and hosts administrative offices, educational facilities, NGOs, courts, national security services, banks ans so on.
PUBLIC SAFETY AND SECURITY
Police
The Batibo Police Station is located on Main street at the D.O. Office intersection.

Batibo Gendarme Brigade is located of Main Street about half a mile south of the Police Station.

Although the people are so pleasant and it is generally safe for visitors, and this additional security may not be necessary, private security firms are also available (mainly from the neighboring city of Bamenda) for hire if you desire a personal guard on your trip to Batibo or any other place in the Batibo District.
WOMEN CENTER
Womens Empowerment Center is located at the Kwenjih River, near GHS Batibo. It is an initiative of the Moghamo Women and Cultural Association, (MOWOCUDA) and the purpose of this center is to educate and uplift the Moghamo woman through literacy and vocational programs to provide them with the necessary tools to provide for themselves and their families.
It currently employs one Staff a full time staff who is answerable to the president of MOWOCUDA and there is a volunteer supervisor of the facility.
CITY HALL (MAYOR'S OFFICE)
The Batibo City Hall or the Council Office is the main administrative office of the Batibo Rural Council. It host the offices of the Mayor, the Council Clerk, the council finance office, the registra of records, as well as many ball rooms that could be rented for parties or celebrations.
If you need to make a birth certificate or celebrate a marriage, this is the place to go.
LIBRARY
The Batibo Community Public Library is located off Main Street at in the old Municipal Council Building. It is owned and managed by the Batibo Rural Council. It has a variety of books and it is the only public library.There is a need to update this library with modern books and computers.
Batiboans are currently exploring opportunities to construct an Ultra Modern communication center, that will accommodate a modern library capable of meeting the challenges of the new information age.
HOSPITALS
Batibo District Hospital, Wumbo

Batibo has a District hospital in Wumbo that covers the whole subdivision and beyond. It is the main hospital in the district and has attending physicians, nurses, a medical laboratory as well as many health care providers. The facility equipped with pre and post natal units, has an X-Ray unit and a Mortuary. To bring basic health facilities nearer to the people, a basic healthcare center was opened at the Administrative Quarter. BDH occasionally hosts medical residents from abroad and has many resident physicians and nurses who provide primary care services to patients. It has an onsite pharmacy.
Saint John of God Catholic Hospital, Ekan
Batibo
Saint John of God Catholic Hospital, started as a small clinic but has developed into a full-fledged hospital with a resident doctor and many nurses and other health care professioanls, providing varied medical services to the Batibo Community and beyond. It is located in Ekan, Batibo off Main Street about a mile North of the old Batibo motor park.

JOMATT Industries Plc is still in the process of founding and creating a Polytechnic using the premises of the former JOMATT College of Technology. The convenience of a further stratification of the schools into private and public was unnecessary at this time.
